Terms of Use

The rules for using this site, and what you can and can't do with the calculators, their code, and their results.

Last updated: August 7, 2026

01 Acceptance of these terms

By using any page on offshoretoolkit.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms apply alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers how data is handled.

02 What this site is

Offshore Toolkit is a free collection of calculators and checkers for lifting, rigging, working at height, HSE exposure, asset integrity, and compliance tasks. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser — there's no account, no paywall, and no usage limit.

03 Not professional advice, no warranty

These calculators are working estimates and reference tools built from public standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME, BS EN, HSE, OSHA, and similar) and commonly published industry practice. They are provided "as is," with no warranty of any kind — express or implied — including no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing on this site is a substitute for a certified lifting plan, a risk assessment, a competent person's sign-off, an engineer's design check, or the specific requirements of the standard, code, or regulation that actually applies to your task. Always confirm results against the real equipment, certificates, and procedures in front of you before acting on them. If in doubt, stop and check with a qualified person.

04 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, offshoretoolkit.com and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or other consequence arising from the use of, or reliance on, this site or its calculators — including where a calculation is inaccurate, out of date, or misapplied. You use this site, and act on its output, entirely at your own risk.

05 Intellectual property

The underlying formulas and methodologies referenced by these calculators come from public standards and industry practice, and aren't owned by this site — anyone can build a tool using the same public methodology.

However, the specific code, design, layout, wording, and implementation of this site and its calculators are the property of offshoretoolkit.com and may not be copied, scraped, or republished — in whole or substantial part — without permission. You're welcome to:

  • Link to any page on this site
  • Use the calculators for your own work, personal or commercial
  • Embed a calculator using the officially provided embed feature, with attribution intact

You may not:

  • Copy the HTML, CSS, or JavaScript source of this site to republish elsewhere, with or without modification
  • Remove or obscure attribution from an embedded calculator
  • Scrape, systematically crawl, or bulk-download this site's pages other than normal search-engine indexing
  • Use automated means to submit large volumes of requests to any form or calculator on this site

06 Acceptable use

Don't use this site to violate any law, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its infrastructure, or to interfere with the site's normal operation for other users.

07 Third-party services

This site uses Google Fonts, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense, each with their own terms and privacy practices — see the Privacy Policy for details.

08 Changes to the site or these terms

Calculators may be added, changed, or removed at any time. These terms may also be updated periodically; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
